RRVW Rail Rehabilitation
This project is the replacement of 38.6 miles of old worn rail on the Red River Valley and Western Railroad (RRVW) from Gwinner, ND through Oakes, ND to Independence, ND.
The western portion of this project is in the North Dakota State Rail Plan ‘Proposed Short Line Projects’ Table 5-3, on page marked 5-11. CHS has since build a new loop track facility near Gwinner, which is the eastern portion of this project.
